The Tyers Art Festival is excited to showcase the 2024 Exhibition on display at the Tyers Community Hall from Friday 8th November to Sunday 10th November.

We have a wonderful range of Artist Awards available for the winning, with all details listed below, and the opportunity for you to vote for your popular choice award at the Exhibition.
Please see below for information about how to submit your artwork, including our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy and how to pay for entries and Opening Night tickets if you plan to attend on the evening of Friday 8th November 2024.

Artist Awards

The Tyers Art Festival is delighted to offer a range of artist awards this year: fourteen major awards covering a range of mediums, five highly commended awards, eight Young Artists Awards and a Popular Choice Award.
Visitors to the Tyers Art Festival will be able to cast their vote for their favourite piece from all the artist's submissions at the exhibition over the weekend. We can't wait to see who you vote for!

How to submit

Each artist can enter up to five artworks. Entry cost is $7/entry. The number of entries accepted per artist is 5. Total number of entries for this year’s Tyers Art Festival Exhibition is 550, so please make sure you get your entries in sooner rather than later!
The deadline to submit your entries is: 4pm Monday 21 October 2024 (AEST).

GENERAL PHOTOGRAPH SPECIFICATIONS

  • Format JPEG - preferably large basic setting
  • Maximum file size 5MB
  • Minimum size of longer side 1000 pixels
  • Colour profile sRGB
  • Images should be cropped to best showcase the artwork only, without stand/easel/furniture in the photograph.
  • Artist’s surname and title of artwork shown in image must be included in file name (i.e. Smith Sunny Day.jpg).

Artwork Submissions

Correct spelling of artwork is artist's responsibility. Size must include the frame. Maximum 5 entries per artist. Please add the details of each artwork (title, price and size) then select the medium.

For Morwell Art and Framing: ($5 donation/artwork for Variety Club) Mention the Tyers Art Festival to get a 10% discount on framing for the art festival.  Drop off, Monday – Fridays 9am – 5pm, by 2pm Wednesday 30 October.  Collection of returned artworks Monday – Friday after Monday 11 November.

For Bairnsdale & District Art Society: Drop off, Monday – Fridays 10am – 12pm, by 11am on Wednesday 30 October.  Collection of returned artworks – Monday – Friday after Monday 11 November, 10am – 12pm.

Entry Payment

Payments for entries and opening night tickets must be made by Direct Debit to the Tyers Art Festival Account.

Entries will not be accepted until payment is received.

How to vote for Popular Choice Award

Visitors to this year’s Tyers Art Festival Exhibition can cast their vote (just once!) for their favourite piece from all of the artists' submissions for the Popular Choice Award by obtaining a voting form upon entry to the exhibition.
